An Update on the Episcopal Church and the Episcopal Diocese of Fort
Worth
The Episcopal Church Welcomes You - To Stay. We are in a time of discernment in the
Diocese of Fort Worth. The attached brochure, published by Fort Worth Via Media,
provides current Q&As on the issues in the church.
Bishop's Convention Address - On Sunday, February 17, 2008 a video of the Bishop's
Convention address and comments by the Standing Committee were shown in the Parish
Hall after the 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services. Bishop Iker required that this be shown in all
parishes to as many parish members as possible in order to hear his thoughts on the state of
the Church.
Information from the Diocese of Fort Worth:
Parish Meeting - On December 5, over 90 members of St Christopher met in worship,
prayer, and discussion to learn of the issues concerning the local and national Church. This
meeting is the first in a series of Parish meetings to be informed on the issues. Attached are
links to information discussed during the first meeting. If you have questions or comments,
please email Fr. Stanford at frbill54@att.net.

- An audio recording of the December 5 meeting and a few images of the people at the
meeting have been put on a DVD. Loaner copies are available in the church office. If
you would like a personal copy to keep contact Ken Monroe, or leave a note in the
